401 FEJA gladiolus L. (Priscilla x Drifted Snow) orig. Paulius
Ciplijauskas 1994 E
Height – 130cm, buds – 20, open – 8. Florets are ivory coloured, edged, super
ruffled and can have little light yellow tongues in the centre, if plants were
grown from little corms. Structure of a spike is like the parent variety DRIFTED
SNOW, but spikes are longer. Thin and distinct rose threads of petal edges
nicely underline well super ruffled floret and make this variety very charming
and striking in the bud opening phase. Variety is very unique. Internet photo
can not fully render this charming picotee effect. Grows satisfactorily from
cormlets, because husks of cormlets are very hardy and they sprout very long.
